Could anyone personally give a step-by-step guide on how to run hoot player? I've installed the latest version of Hoot. I've extracted ini enhancements and Drum Sample from the archived snesmusic.org page to the hoot directory and downloaded the game music files from https://hoot.joshw.info/ but nothing comes up when loading in the actual player. I'm so lost and no guides online seem to help... :(

All I want is the snare from Brandish 3 - Maisoun lmao


Edit - I got it, literally all i had to do was download the same file from the snes website instead of the josh one. Mods u can delete thread if you want, srry 4 wasting space. missed out on sleep cause of this XD (im just irresponsible lol)

The hoot.joshw.info archive files are formatted according to the database files contained in hoot_2018-06-26.7z . So they don't work with the snesmusic setup.

I recommend using the joshw setup as it's more up to date
(also thanks for bringing this up, made me realize I need to rewrite the lyceum page about hoot)
