What version of Sunvox can we use?

Because at the time of the making of this post, Sunvox 1.7 is 95% complete, and there's already a beta out.

I would say that depends if the .sunvox files are backwards compatible. If they are then I say yes!! If not, we should probably stick with the last solid release.

IIRC you can open any .sunvox file in the newest release. Then again, the current 1.7 release is a beta, but it's apparently close to being finished.

Does it really matter? Sunvox has a lot of pretty powerful synths already included, including a drum synth (and an additional kicker), an FFT synth and even basic FM. And 1.7 gives us dat analog generator. Dat. Analog. Generator.

It should be a pleasant challenge to make a sample-less Sunvox track.

enh, i tried that in the SunVox compo (as per the rules), and i found it limiting. maybe i'm just not good at pure synth, but i felt like i couldn't really get what i wanted out of it...
