Do you love NES Legend of Zelda? Wanna make custom quest for it? Even with custom textures, music and even hacks through scripts + more? This is the format then!

I have some great memories with this one. After a time of playing Zelda Classic, a NES LoZ Clone for PC, around 2009 or so, I one day decided to explore the folder the program was located in, and found ZQuest, a tool that would open the eyes of creativity.

I've gathered some info about it in lyceum-ready format that I'll just "blurb" here and hope it could be of interest.

Token: (for puke7 to decide upon implementation) suggestion: zqst
Point Type: Mappist
File Types: .qst, .zip
Max Filesize: non-declared (I would say 15mb is a good limit)
Description: Custom quests for Armageddon Games PC-clone of the original NES Legend of Zelda known as Zelda Classic (ZC).

ZQuest comes bundled with the 20+ years actively developed NES Legend of Zelda PC-clone Zelda Classic by Armageddon Games. It is a very deep custom-quest creation enviroment with map-editor, texture-editor, advanced game-configuration and script-expandability. Yet, it's very intuitive for the beginner with its interface, where upon launching the program, you're already up and set with graphics, music and blank maps to quickly begin creation of custom NES LoZ-style games. Though, for the experienced user it's definitely possible to create custom games, especially through bending the game-engine with the script-expandabilty.

ZQuest on BotB

-Yet to come-
Issues in topic:
- What's the minimum requirements? Start and Ending?
- Would it be suitable for OHBs, depending on what the minimum requirements is?
asikwus knowledge:
The game can be ended with Combo-Flag 15 - Zelda (Win Game)

I also had documents for a ZQuest Classic format-suggestion as well, allowing only .qst to be submitted. External dependencies, like script-libs and enhanced music, are relatively new ZQuest-features, but with only .qst you're limited to the old-skool-in-tool provided script-slots and MIDI-music (AFAIK, heck im not even 50% certain over how the scripts work, but they are a thing! it can be looked into!)

How to play

Launch Zelda Classic and create a new game. By pressing the A-button ingame, it should open a tab, where it'll show info and author of the current quest. Press A again and it'll open a dialog where you'll be able to browse up the .qst-file. Then after successfully loading it, you're ready to play!

I was a very fond user of Zelda Classic for years starting back in 2000. I started several quests and never finished any of them. I would love to see ZC come to BotB.

Last week, the world pranced gayly through the meadows over A Link to the Past supposedly being reverse-engineered.
Those prancers probably did not know about Zelda Classic.

I prance for both.
