Yes, you see the bug was actually a double application of htmlspecialchars(). I think the easiest way to deal with this is to add an alphanumeric filter to battle titles. All unicode privileges lost! :D/

Alphanumeric battle titles? Don't you even dare troll me like that, uncle pukey. I like to use punctuation in some of my OHB titles.

it wasn't unicode that broke things, it was the greater than symbol (and other symbols that html abstracts due to its own syntax). that three-bar equals-sign thingy worked fine, as i recall.

technically you're right, at the base level, but i can't help but feel everyone is being a little over sensitive here.

just because syniphas was not the most tactful in pointing out the technical aspects of the issue, i don't think that is reason to completely ignore his suggestion just to spite him. or am i being trolled?
