Personally think, if every Ohb had art, it might make it harder to distinguish between minor and majors, but for larger 4HB's, getting to personalize them a little with art would make things pretty exciting.
I say 4hbs exclusively because I could see people accidently mistaking a 2hb for a 4hb otherwise.

-Also an extra idea, what would people think about 4hbs having the option for entrants to add a description to their entry, in the same way majors can, after slugs/sluts/zone/phase/act/level/stage/results/liver damage/world are over?-

my guess is with the new battle engine on the way, adding a description to your xhb entry is probably a feature that is coming to botb soon.
4hb cover arts feel interesting, but i dont really have an opinion about this

^ you actually can add descriptions to XHBs, Mel did it the other day in WAS#11, but you either have to it before results or before voting, not sure. you can go to /entry/DescriptionEdit/<entry_id> to do this, which is about as obtuse as setting collaborators in the current system

anyway, i'm honestly not opposed to the host being able to upload art for any of their battles, be they 1 or 4 hours, if they wanted to - it's a fun way to personalize stuff, potentially. i'd rather have all or nothing, though, because either the line between minor/major is blurred somewhat by 4HB having this privilege (which is a little confusing), or it's just totally gone; and if it's totally gone, some other distinction could be put in place instead to indicate XHB versus major... perhaps using the little "XHB" class icon

not hugely opinionated on this either but that's how i think it could be best implemented

I like those ideas, having an art for XHB could be handy for series etc for example. Could be unlocked at a certain botber level foor example, too avoid a little bad use by young members... Can't wait for the battle engin update tho, having description sound great!

Oh yeah, that was the other reason I was thinking only for 4hbs castle, since you have to be here awhile to unlock them, but having it unlock at a certain level might be a better idea! Indeed we could make XHB series look more distinguishable, that way.

avatar changing costs almost nothing, a proper amount would make people think about what cover art they upload. i wanna avoid 5 seconds mspaint stuff that looks like fdjikghjksdfhgjkdhsfgjklhsdf , you know?

id love for cover arts to be a feature for any xhb because then i can just put proper images for mt32 ones or something

True Kleed, I personally think high price depends more on if it were available from an early level or not (unless the more you level up the cheaper it becomes).
But yeah probably more than an avatar change when I think about the desire to not have too many mspaint looking pictures x)
