in other words:

https://battleofthebits.com/ (works fine)
https://battleofthebits.com (returns 404)
http://battleofthebits.com/ (redirects to .org)

i also noticed a problem with redirecting to anything else than the main page

taking this thread for example:
http://battleofthebits.com/academy/GroupThread/23531/FREE+HOSPITAL+BOY/

if you replace .org with .com it redirects to:
https://battleofthebits.comacademy/GroupThread/23531/FREE+HOSPITAL+BOY/
which is indeed not a valid url
