I've created a new article in the Lyceum, about Picoloop, a cool nanoloop clone with some different and unique features, for example you have only 4 patterns at the same time, but you can have up to 1024 different patterns to choose from. There are also many engines (more than 10), the second one will certainly cheer you up :

It works on Windows and Linux, also on PSP. I'm not the developer of Picoloop, but I've written a tutorial, so you can get into it quickly!
