i need to reupload the mp3 for my summer chip v SPC as the mp3 was encoded in 32khz [which the player doesn't seem to handle] - i have a reencoded 44.1khz mp3 ready to upload but the function to do so seems to have gone missing

As far as I remember, this MP3 upload bug thing seems to have appeared at least some time after SPC Echoes, as I distinctly remember uploading a corrected MP3 render for my entry after I realized I originally rendered it at 32khz. My memory could be wrong though.

EDIT: Savestate, I tested the link with both Sam's entry and an entry of mine that was rendered, and all I get is a "No can render you n00b!" message.

Unfortunately, worshipping Satan does not fix this

Actually it does work. Resubmit it, it will delete your former mp3 [seen from puke on IRC]

iirc, I believe it's in place to prevent users from rage quitting on BotB and deleting all their tracks.

The engineer in me is wondering if it's worth making some back-end changes to store full entry history to allow for reversions of stuff in case of abuse or whatnot. That'd involve data changes though, and those are a PITA. :P
