I am convinced -- zOMG this website was built by a retard!! =o The compo will begin on Monday. In the meantime I've got to find a hardware store, buy more duct tape for this bucket of bolts.

n00b questions:

"Feel free to modify the sample pack any way you want"

so I can, for example, take snippets from the drum track and save them as new wav files -- a kick, a hihat, a snare?

In what ways do people usually modify their samples? Like delay, reverb, chorus, flange?

By modify sample pack we mean that you can add outside samples in addition to the usual manipulations of a BotB remix compo. ;D

puke7 want to violate his own rules. I thought you could tweak the provided samples without adding new (external) ones...

Ok -- I guess I need to explain some things --

I apologize up front for being a lazy admin. I setup this compo as if it was a remix compo because BotB is not yet fully modular (i.e. there are only remix and chip compos programmed into the engine). No one is supposed to upload an .mp3 as their entry.

Pplz are supposed to upload a .zip of their track's LGPT project folder!

I figured people wouldn't be happy with the sample pack -- that's why I left it open. The available sample pack should be taken as an example, encouraging everyone to use those samples and add more if they are not satisfied. I'll try to reword this better in the info.

My apologies again -- my life is kind of insane right now. But if you would like more of my attention you could always make a donation!! ;D

I can't figure out how to do ANYTHING with this tracker. This tracker makes me feel like a fucking idiot. I press all the buttons and I can't seem to understand how to load a wav file. I can change the lines to numbers or letters but I can't really understand what I'm doing. The "help file" talks about pressing the "start" button. When I do THAT my computer TURNS OFF!

SC... is close to LSDJ... the same interface and all... it's not to hard to learn... just use Right and left CONTROL + arrows, or A or S + arrows (if you are using windows :) ) and read that manual! :P

At some point, when I was reorganizing where entry files are stored, a bunch of the entry files for this battle got messed up. Basically, my script grabbed the first file found (either the source or the render) and then saved that as both the source/render. So you couldn't download the source unless it was in the form of a broken mp3 file.

All entries' source and renders recovered! \:D/

For a second, I was wondering if there was a new LGPT compo or something. Then I looked at the date, hehe.
