to clarify I could not get OBS to work with Google+ Hangouts which actually streamed to youtube. xsplit saved the day, no fail.

I've found a use for the sample, but it's not really a qualifier for this particular battle. For me, I feel like having some fun with this sample in one of my future entries.

To me, I don't see this sample being used consistently in an entry of mine... unless the song itself were to malfunction in some sort of way. The majority of the song would not use this sample, and therefore I don't see this particular compo as being a good idea, since no one would be able to catch its use anywhere except for a particular section where I implement this idea.

Afaik this is algear and not algear remix, so if you use other tools that woud be ok? (doesn't have to be sample-only)

How you'd only use this sample as just a short portion of a song is a miracle to me tho. You can use all those bits!

Maybe I'm gonna make an entry myself, my problem being that I don't have the knowledge and skills, not even have a system set up and am limited in my time. But for sure I'll be spending some time on voting, so I have that going for me, which is nice.

This is a 20 minute sample for me to sort through. In this case, I like to pick fragments of a sample to suit the situation.

i am personally against this stance as well but i dont think its a big deal, really
it happens everywhere, inside and outside of botb, and independently of the existence of these its the voters that will decide anyway
(and if a song provokes such reaction on a lot of ppl, it IS bound to win anyway (but i still dont like the comments that say so))

I'd be voting mostly to show I/how much like the songs. So far I've heard only good songs, all taking their own take on using the sample.

But if we'd be all hippies like that this would rather be more a compo than a battle ;P What sportsmanship, bash each others brains in!!

I do feel for measurements to get it a tad more agressive attitude in the majors, pay a fee to enter, gain a certain percentage back depending on your placing.

Or rename the thing from major (battle) to major (slowpoke _{I don't mean that pink creature} hey-pass-me-that-bong gethogether ya diggity)...
