hey there! i watched "Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honneamise" this evening after you mentioned it on my entry. i'm glad that you did, it was a wonderful movie with just an astonishing level of detail in both the artwork and the world it portrayed. in that respect it reminded me of Ghost in the Shell. a few backgrounds were so beautiful i uttered "whoa!" aloud, lol.

the soundtrack was cool, too; loved the flight musics especially, and some of the weird old sampler stuff. i think i can understand how there's some similar atmosphere (and at the end, harmony) in the song in question. oldschool synth instrumentation, a wide and somewhat alien/foreign atmosphere, and the percussion could fit within the sound-world of the movie. i'm flattered to be at all compared to Sakamoto & co, too :p

anyway thanks for sharing, it was an evening well spent. and now i know where your avatar is from!
