For the Retro Nostalgia battle, it says "perfect for synthwave and vaporwave." I don't think means you have to. If I'm reading it right, it seems like the intended meaning is to capture whatever you find nostalgic about music in the decade you wanna post about.
It does seem to lean on creating music in the stereotypical way of overusing the things present in those genres/decades, but I'm sure it'd be fine to make something from that time period as long as its nostalgic to how you remember it. I mean, who can say it isn't but you?

man, so I just downloaded the modo bass and it was going ok. then I realized I only have access to one bass and I have to PAY to get the other ones. do you know any really good entirely free bass VSTs, I've been searching forever lol

What your clowncore phase has been like so far?

Very fun! The makeup application and removal process is a bit tedious but definitely worth it. I haven't bought any clothes besides socks, but I'm hoping to make more money soon so I can put together complete clowncore outfits.

I've only appeared publicly in clown mode 2 or 3 times though because I don't like drawing attention to myself lol. I may step out of my comfort zone soon
