when i saw the bitpack for today the idea for this popped into mind. seeing the words "stock chord progressions" and "totally hype filter knobs" made me think of all the sickly perfect, overdone to death aspects of pop. the i-v-iv-i progression. the kick, snare, kick-kick, snare beat. the c major scale that changes only to retreat back due to cowardice of something novel. the overreliance on filters and effects. the overwhelmingly agonizing desire for death's embrace.
think of this as my diss track to pop, full stop
