Something about the song style made me think of casino levels in games or games that were particularly gamble heavy. I wanted to thank the composer and so I drew their avatar into this as the difficult opponent. As for the animation speed, I just have been doing sprite and animations since my teens and I'm in my mid 40s now, so I take shortcuts where I can (it's only a two frame run cycle). It's like how you folks absolutely smoke me with music, you all have more experience. 😅
edit: Also now realizing the artist's name was Savestate, NOT Detroit XI. I thought it was a Red XIII situation
