yno, this really puts into perspective how insanely silent it is at night... completely devoid of life such as birds you would hear all the time during the day, and yet the occasional car driving by, car alarm going off, or some dog barking in the distance reminds you everything is still the same, just at a time where things don't happen or i guess aren't meant to happen.
for me, staying up at night or just being outside when its in the middle of the night the silence just feels like the world telling you "you shouldnt be here. go to bed". its the kind of feeling that mostly goes away if you spend alot of time at night, but damn my first ever night without sleeping and just looking out the window felt surreally calm, and yet felt offputting and wrong in those ways.
