together we are becoming what we are

vocal and drum samples recorded & processed by me

decided to stab at PPMCK for this to get the phasing effect of each track being at a different tempo, wrestled with bank size limitations due to the amount of notes

as emperor joseph II says in amadeus: there are simply too many notes, that's all

something i really appreciate about this is the underpinning of one part in clear tempo while the other textures on top feel less predictable and serve different functions - i think that juxtaposition is extremely cool

level balancing was painful, but i'm happy to have given a little vocal sampling a fair shot, mostly to see how crunching up vocals interacts with, like, the gendering of voice

(but also, hey, easy on the ribbing :D)

Very cool track, love the phasing effects and brightness of the really rapid arps.

I actually really like how the vocal snippets stand out, it reminds me of some of the experimental idm-ish electronic music coming out of Japan in the 2000s.
