2A03 + N163 (4ch) + VRC7. no DPCM! made in Dn-FamiTracker 0.4.0.1

early version uploaded July 8 2023

the pops and clicks in the first upload were unbearable. VRC7 was good enough. first place I look for pops and clicks is FM. no unreleased FM waves butting into each other in the VRC7. no too-fast cuts. opened the N163. oh shit. there it is. zooming in on the .nsf output's N163 waves thru Audacity showed spikes everywhere. little cliff faces just wrecking the mix. the note releases didn't even fully silence the notes!

I overhauled the soft saws. sized down from 32 (0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 15, 14, 13, 13, 12, 11, 11, 10, 9, 9, 8, 7, 7, 6, 5, 5, 4, 3, 3, 2, 1, 1, 0) to 8 (0, 4, 11, 15, 13, 10, 5, 2). dropped two octaves in the tracker to match pitch. added S01 on the double bar note release lines to clear out the chord murk. cleared the EDM volume pump from the volume column and went Ax0 to A00 for smoother ducks. did the VRC7's and 2A03's while I was there! also bulked up the pulse arp blasts with octaved-up VRC7 vibraphone.

hell, this one's full of pops and clicks too. these pops and clicks land on better rhythm spots than the first upload's imo, and it's harder to really wreck a crunchier wave

mid way thru writing all of this -- the N163 just wants to make a hell of a lot of noise. no use trying any harder to clean this all up. may the 2A03 join in. made the robot perc blasts louder and longer and added more of them in the arrangement. boosted the noise riser. added one-tick F3 triangle blasts to the more break beat type parts
