mt-32 project using custom sysex / instrument patches :)

This is a hardware render, but the midi will play fine on munt. If you happen to try playing the .mid, please note that there is a ~20 second delay for patch transfer before the music begins & then a full reset is triggered after playback.

This project started out as a trial run of a patch bank that I've been assembling, from the massive database bundled with LA-SYNTH, the win9x editor for mt-32 & d110. (it runs fine in wine and can edit munt directly fyi).

Waking suddenly from a deep sleep, I found myself surrounded by an emptiness beyond darkness, a total absence. The silence was deafening, but as the fog of my dreams lifted, it became clear that there was a presence, the manner in which I could perceive it was unexplainable, yet I was certain it was there.

Here I lay for some time, noticing that this was definitely not my bed, the surface upon which I sat was hard and textureless. As I considered this and began to theorize as to what it could mean, a single bright point of light suddenly appeared and then quickly was gone. Startled, I got to my feet and began to peer around... another flash of light, gone as quickly as before.. then another.
Soon this was happening all around me, flashing from every direction. now fallen to the ground, blinded and terrified, I tried squinting to see if it might help to stabilize my vision. And now, wishing I had not, for every one of the endless flashes was an eye looking intently back into my own, waiting, watching, waiting, watching.
