I like the elements you've assembled here, but it does kinda feel like there isn't enough progression for my tastes - one chord all the way through, almost one *tone* the whole way through even, though you tease branching out a bit around 2 minutes in - but it's a long time waiting to get to that point, without there being much payoff, imo.

This is a good start, for sure, and I don't think you're missing the mark genre-wise in terms of the sounds you're including, it's more just as a complete song I want there to be more to it, basically. I want more meat, less potatoes!

this one is good but it feels kinda repetitive and same-y. I like it but I wish it could have been elaborated on more if that makes sense

I think the repetitiveness here is just right (at least from what I've seen during my research into industrial/EBM). If anything, I wish this song was twice as long, just building on this one pattern. Love the samples you used, especially the bass synths and cowbell! :D
