i guess this is the first botb song to make me cry. there have been some songs from this site that have conveyed melancholy and sorrow but this one is different..... it just feels like it clearly communicates pure sadness into a song.

it resonates with me a lot, i just wanna give a hug to whom composed this and then crawl into a ball and cry



sorry i've been kinda sensitive lately. i also just love this song overall, it's one of these few cases where i could feel genuine vulnerability expressed in a piece.

I like the use of modulating the panning and echoes so the notes slowly swirl around in space. Great rubato on the melody. The field recording adds a lot of atmosphere.

Strangely enough, it didn't personally strike me as sad, more contemplative...but it's cool that art can mean different things to different people!

Awesome chip combo. The atmospheric audio, and especially the children at play, really adds to great effect here and your composition got me where it counts. Yeah I could see this being interpreted multiple ways, but regardless of the listener's thoughts it communicates that the composer felt some things writing this.
