interesting concept for a platformer here! i especially like your usage of colors to depict multiple layers of background. it's probably out of the nes's depth to try to render in real time for an entire game, yet creates a deeper background for this piece. i feel like it would only be better if there was more to this piece - say, some ui elements or a player character or, hell, even some enemies. as it stands now, though, good job at creating a cohesive level aesthetic!
