a magical winter's morning... went for "freeform" pandiatonicism with this one, more or less (i still think the tonic can be felt sometimes), which is always a fun realm to inhabit. i'm pretty happy with the arc of the thing. made in "musescore studio 4.4.3"

advent diary day 9: notation software has come so, so far in every aspect except for the inputting of any and all notes and engraving. that part still is annoying and tedious despite all quality-of-life improvements. HOWEVER it's ridiculously cool that i, for free, can make the computer sound like this. when i was first starting out making music in 2002-2003 in notation software, it was basic midi playback or bust.
