what the heckles is a parol? it's a type of lantern we put up during christmas! they're very colorful and bright! always star-shaped because stars are a christmas thing! they're usually made of stuff like bamboo, japanese paper, and capiz shells from oysters!

this is a bit ugly but i had fun with it, like a school project for arts class :) the brown things on the side are supposed to be the sliding doors from a traditional house we have here but ahhh

I like the design of this!
idk why but I'm getting paper mario sticker star vibes from this image, and I love it!

This looks so cool! And I agree, it does have a sticker star vibe! It looks so colorful and the "layers" (i mean background+grass+doors+the parol) of the image go so well together!
