as with the above pic, the OHB (one hour battle) gives just underneath the picture a link to what format it is (in this case, nes/ famicom 2a03). The link should then give you more of an idea what file format is accepted in the battle (nsf for this one).

Also, unless the ohb rules say otherwise, these battles are for original entries only.
