Hello!
It's been 7 years since I last participated here. A lot of life has happened since then. A lot of growing up and maturing has happened as well. I got to witness my niece be born. I met the love of my life and got married. I've seen friends and loved ones pass away. I've seen myself long to bring back relationships that I miss so dearly. From all of that growth, all I can say is life is imperfect and all we can truly do is love and cherish the special moments that we experience. It's in that spirit that this song was written and performed. It's a simple song, played on a cheap, out of tune guitar. I recorded it after a long day, with my wife crocheting next to me. It was a beautiful moment, even though it is imperfect - and I like that.
After being a perfectionist in music for so long, it's very nice to be happy with something imperfect. I think that is what folk music is really about. Capturing imperfect, yet beautiful moments. Thanks for letting me share and I hope I'm not breaking any rules... :)
