That's odd. Have a look at your music.asm. The patterns should have the same number of rows as in the xm, plus one speed word at the beginning and one #ff byte at the end. The first byte of a pattern row must never be #ff except for the last row. If you like post your xm and music.asm somewhere and I'll have a look.
