i did this to the theme of "jungle waterfall" which ended out falling through because i did not account for the other areas such as the desert etc, its unfortunate but oh well

Oh yeah, I didn't meant it was not totally into the theme, more this was meant to be a cover art for the album, so the kitty was not very fitting the album or the theme. This was more that than the fact to have only one biome. But if we collab we will both make something even better than both of our entries, I am sure!
Also (and that is more personal tastes), I was not fan of the two yellow lines. That is to explain my vote, but aside from that, I have technically not a lot to say, the details, colors, etc were really good, and your artistic sense is not even questionable :)
Another criticism but, hey, even in 4HB, this entry is huge! you probably had no time for that but: some lines have double pixels like hand drawing things, that create odd thickness. Also, I see you didn't use dithering. That is not mandatory, but create a more pixelly effect, limit the number of color etc. If you use Gimp, I can show you a way to do that very fast!
Every image contains pixel, but pixel art is more a spirit and a set of tools and rules you can use to give a piece the "pixel art" looking. limited palette, "dithering", "pixel perfect" lines, etc a the most common, good keywords to search. I am free if you want to talk about that!
