this is quite different from the stuff i usually make.
i also wanted to experiment with something that has both a long ambient intro and develop into more of a hard rock track as it goes, inspired by a song i heard from an obscure and old indie game i know of.
special thanks to nu11 for helping a lot when it comes to this track, specifically how to improve the rock aspects and part of this track.

the extended synthpad intro makes me feel like i'm in for a 13 minute prog metal song. which this could probably be, in theory! and it would be awesome. the last minute or so is particularly nice when everything comes together, drums guitar other guitar synth. the pad feels like it could take a break at some point, it's a very dense and full texture so a moment of contrast could be cool (even like one deliberate harsh cutaway like before a big new phrase)

i suck at writting longer songs, my longest original song is about 5:30. i wonder how some people can write outright 15+ minute long symphonies that still feel really fresh while i already fear that i might be repeating myself in the 4 minute mark.
i might eventually expand on this song's idea and make it into a 10 minute songie sometime
about the pads, it was kind of intentional since i wanted to convey the feeling of an emotional and mental breakdown along with being constantly overwhelmed, that is still lasting even after a shift of emotions and all. it's kinda like how it takes a long while to fully recover even after you're kinda doing better, and i put a lot of my own experiences in it.
still in retrospect playing with contrast and other stuff would be cool to make this song be more polished i think, and this is my first real attempt at this sort of genre and feel so i might get some things wrong.
