i have been listening to this track a bunch over the past week.. cool mix of familiar and unfamiliar harmony and other harmonic contrasts, & in particular i really like the more ornamental melodic flourishes

i'm curious how you approached the notation in osctet!

@ jangler the notation was like,,, 13th harmonic is a minor sixth with 2 up arrows and the 1/3 octave major third is just a major third with 1 down arrow, and it was just a lot of adjusting by arrows until i got it where i needed it to be. but pyth arrow notation is intuitive enough to be quick, yknow

wow i never even realized that 87 was 3 x 29, interesting... i always notated it like 41 or 46, which obscures that relationship

that makes sense though!! i feel like i'd have done similar if osctet didn't default to pyth notation, yknow? this has also really got me wanting to work in microtemperaments though... 171edo is within reach (just. with 1 million arrows)

there's actually a pretty straightforward path to notating 7-limit 171edo: use schismic notation for the 5-limit, and set the arrow equal to ~64/63 (4 steps). 5/4 is a flat fourth, 7/4 is a down-flat seventh
