breakin' breaks

made in fl studio in ~6.5h

- i took a lot of single cycle waveforms from the apache break and put them into serum to make the basses in the drop
- i bandpassed the saw into oblivion to isolate the fundamental which i could use as a sine
- i also calculated ~20 harmonics of a triangle wave and layered sines to make that
- the noise risers/impacts are from the snare with a long reverb
- tried to keep the saw and (chopped) break as main elements despite the sample fuckery
- lmk if you have questions about where any of the sounds are from

enjoy :3

filtering (both normal filters and the wacky ones like the allpasses/reverb/comb filters in serum if u want), eq, distortion, automating parameters of all of the above a lot for the sense of movement, ott (in moderation). particular waveforms also work a lot better than others, i find the ones from the transients of drums are often decent

This sounds super sick but I think maybe the transition into the drop could be more pronounced. Like could change up the drum pattern for that, or filter the break through the intro until a build up/pause before the drop. But overall the sample work is great fam!!
