amogus animated morphing

Had fun here experimenting with dithering patterns, to create depth/translucency effects and to smoothly animate color transitions in a limited palette (8 colors).
I drew the main animations and scrolling letters in pixaki, then loaded the layers into after effects to flip and offset the scrolling text; ae is total overkill for this, it's just the most familiar tool for me.

btw, the color palette is inspired from branding/ packaging for the yamaha cbx-301 hello! music! pc midi upgrade kit from early 90's, some weird and playful graphic design there if you're into that vibe.

Submitted as apng! It seems like this format is now widely supported (finally), but if the animation doesn't play for you, lmk and I will add a gif.
