my worst attempt on a different plataform than the gameboy. Made with Maxymiser tracker running (and recorded) on hatari emulator. tips for atari tunes (aside from not sucking)?

tips - be aware of what the chip can and cant do for you - for one, it cant natively do different duties (but it can be aped), so effects you'll think about playing about for pulse are mainly along the regions of octave jumps, portamentos, creative vibratos, volume tricks and detunes. Buzzer effects are hard to implement so if you're looking just to incorporate a buzzer in an ay song its best to keep the parameters the same just to give it a try. Also be aware that if applying a sid timer effect in maxymiser, it doesnt give you complete control over the pusle width modulation, there will be parts of a note that will be inaudible/click as the waveform tends to all 0% or all 100%. Also a bonus for ay is the fact you can mix different waveforms into the same instrument, at once, or one tick after the other, which can lend itself to more natural sounding drums.

Actually it's pretty OK for the first try, I would say. Carry on! ;)
