To answer some people's claims of "not western" -- I originally tried to compose a "western-sounding" piece but I was having no inspiration and felt generally depressed in my attempt... Bear in mind this was also my first time using Famitracker. I eventually stopped altogether and I figured I wouldn't enter... Later that night, I was inspired somehow watching puke compose his piece on Twitch, I felt really good but I realized I had no mind for the theme anymore. Not wanting to sacrifice my happiness, I let it go and stayed in my flow. This was the result.
