My voice, Magix VEGAS, Pro-R and Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth
I was planning something bigger for this, but heyy!

Lyrics:
Something you did
Something you say
Something that takes my breath away

Something you did
Something you said
Something that silence stole instead

Something I did
Something I'd try
Something that made my people cry

Something I do
Something I did
Something that took us off the grid

This was a chance
Our only hope
To set sail onwards back to home

We tried hard
Did all we could
To get things back the way that they should

We sat outside
We took a glance
Out to the sea where we saw France

Now it is gone
All of it gone
And I sit here, all alone

Something we did
Something we tried
Something that we found hard to find
Where is the peace
Who is to blame
For all the violence we put to shame?

This isn't exactly fitting the theme, but meh, that won't stop me from liking it! I enjoyed the vocals very much, you should try with less processed ones sometime tbh

It's based on music from the 1400-1500s, though a much more modern approach (see Ah Robin and I guess Greensleeves could count)

it's two vocal takes with pitch correction, and monophonic pitched down for the lower parts. No vocoder
