well... i had talked about wanting to do a choir version of my allgear ballad from day 11 (this one) but not having time... and then just 3 days later, a vocal acapella bitpack? of course i went for it, i really wanted to arrange this in this way. of course... having to sing every part myself for an SATB setting wasn't the best; i pitched it down a step to be able to comfortably hit the high falsetto notes, but some of my lower bass range suffered too (i am a tenor).
in hindsight it would've been more musical to set this for solo voice and piano so i could sing the main melody in my actual range, but that wasn't the bitpack :D i really enjoyed rearranging this though (and in musescore... of my own volition!)
here's the (not super detailed) score - https://i.imgur.com/hYZpjbG.png (you can see how i even had to write the soprano too low in parts to be able to do them all...) would've maybe liked to do some better takes but in the spirit of the XHB, i used one of my two original takes
When you're here, it starts to feel like Christmas
Family dear, all gathered 'round the fire
See the children go, dashing through the snow!
It's Christmastime!
Once a year, it starts to feel like Christmas
There are wreaths, lights, ornaments galore
And beneath the tree, gifts for you and me;
It's Christmastime!

Advent Diary Day 14:
i hope to do more vocal stuff... have only done it sparingly all these years. this was my third time setting text, i think, and my second time writing lyrics. (i did a song cycle for bass+piano and a choir piece way back in college) lots of potential although i'm a mediocre singer at best : )
apologies for the fact that this entry exists somewhere in a rules grey-area at best, due to it being a new arrangement of material written 3 days ago, but i very much think it's in spirit, and i did put real time into rearranging + recording the material. vote as you feel is correct!
