This could be made into funk by picking just one or two ideas and expanding them rhythmically.

it's not funk, and for that, it might do bad in the battle, but i love this piece. :)

@charlotte: i've never heard the phrase "through-composed" before but I guess that's what I do intentionally try to do. Because of this, I'd like to think it takes on a more orchestral quality... but this is not conducive to funk. Ironically I've been doing it to challenge myself, inviting digressive or tangential qualities to my songs, because I was directly inspired by these very qualities in your music.

I may have gone a bit too far in some places.
