The volca modular is a strange beast, I haven't actually used it a lot,
but my friend Kiui borrowed mine for the last 6 months and he loves it,
it takes some time to get used to. :P

I only used the JD-Xi for pads and some bass sounds, no sequences.

Aaahh pads ok. The "analog feeling" parameter of the JD-Xi can do wonders for pads... Thanks for your answer about the modular!

I was fiddling a bit with a DeepMind 12 in a music store yesterday… too bad it cost about the same as all my el-cheapo synths combined ;) that is the perfect pad-beast!

Digital is cool too, I did mine with the microfreak xD I ended using only it and 0 analog synth
