drums are TR-606 and TR-808 samples, which existed in the late 80s (for pretty cheap too), and the synths are all 3xOSC, which I imagine was within the limits of late 80s synths.

i'll admit, though, it's not very late 80s, compositionally. footwork is also a mainly midwest phenomenon too, if this even counts as such.
