for this one i took some cool and ear-pleasing FM code that blower5 made a few months ago and made it Invariably Worse by modifying things to include the number 13 (or multiples), adding additional functions to the output, and punching in my own notes/envelopes/masks (many of which include length 13, digits that add up to 13, etc) within its depths. thanks blower5! your thing is really cool. my thing definitely doesn't qualify for the "actual music" tag but i was entertained, the result is glitchy as all get-out
also i'm pretty sure i made it be in 13edo instead of 12

advent diary day 13:
i do not like bytebeat. even more than modular synth stuff, this is not the angle that i like to take when thinking about creating music. (with my poor math and code knowledge, i'm not sure it's an angle i could take, haha)
it was fun to work with my friend's code but if i had started from scratch this would not have been fun at all lol. if not this, i probably would've tried someone's converter and written a 13-centric tune, but i at least wanted to be fiddling with stuff in the bytebeat editor to experience the format a little more... even if the result isn't a song in the usual sense :p
one thing i will say is that it seems like an easy way to generate some funny sounds for sampling, something i might mess with in the future~
