Trevor was still confused and disoriented. He had come to the mall to visit the comic book shop like he did almost every Saturday. He had browsed around a bit and proceeded to leave. And then he... And then..?
The mall was totally empty now, the stores all locked up tight. Though it should still be about noontime, the light from outside tells him it's almost sunset. Trevor checks his phone again, but the screen is still a glitched mess. It won't power off no matter what he tries.
Well, I suppose the mall isn't TOTALLY empty. Trevor's seen them. The "things." Bizarre slabs of flesh and eyes. They're in the shops, behind the locked gates. They're hidden in the shadows and behind merchandise, but Trevor's seen them. They' don't move except for the subtle sway of breath. Of life.
Trevor sits down on a bench, considering what he should do next. It's at this very moment... That he gets a phone call.
Guys. Hey guys. GUYS. I'm going to make a video game.
