Such a solemn piece. da feelz are strong with this one.
Just a little story for this piece:
I once had a stuffed animal that was a turtle, Tommy the Turtle.
He was my close friend that would listen to me when I needed it.
To me, he could speak and would say,
"Everything will be ok, trust me."
My brother would choak and punch him as a joke, and I would cry.
Afterwards, Tommy would say,
"Forgive him, and everything will be ok."
I believed him as a child.
As I grew older into my teenage years, I believed less and less.
Everything wasn't ok, and I would turn to Tommy for the answers.
Tommy was silent.
He would remain to stay with me, everyday and night.
Even though he was probably gone forever.
I wanted to still believe.
Now, as a young adult, everything turned out to be ok.
I wanted to talk to Tommy once more.
Crazy or not, I just needed to appologize, for not believing.
Tommy the Turtle was gone.
It was hard to let that sink in, but maybe he was a guardian.
To comfort the children in need.
