Since you provided the .gb rom so I ended up playing this on a real hardware lol.

And yes trills are rendered in the original GBA.

Oh, on GBA as well. On my DMG GB it worked too (it's sad I've lost this console). Maybe the batteries were too old on this GBC. Thanks for trying this.

Hell yeah garvalf! This definitely sounds exactly as you were going for. I really feel like I'm standing on the plains with a bagpiper going nuts behind me.
