=ALL 80s YAMAHA=
Percussion: Yamaha PSR-90 (with shaker from Yamaha DD-10)
Lead flute/chime: Yamaha PSR-90
All other sounds from Yamaha DX7-IID except for a couple parts that were played from Dexed (DX7 mk1 emulation).
Mixed in Logic Pro X with very little processing, just a ton of creative reverb/delay combinations.

I'm getting back into FM synthesis in a big way!

eh while there's percussion, i think it's subdued enough that it adds to the atmosphere more than it detracts from it, i like it really and FM really does work well for dungeon synth (as garvalf points out above), great job!

Is percussion really such a no-no? I heard percussion in a lot of the "dungeon synth" music that I listened to in order to prepare concepts for this compo (and the last one)!
Is there some fundamental element of "Dungeon Synth" that I am missing?
For the record I listened to it without the perc and it was extremely boring. Is that the point?

the drums are great in this, perfectly appropriate for DS and they contribute a lot of dark atmosphere this would not have had otherwise
