Very cute composition, I love how there is flowers both outside and on the tablecloth!
I finally fully moved out after 11 years in our Connecticut house, and after an entire life of having lived with my parents. We finished cleaning most of the stuff out on Monday, and I was hoping to get a good, sunshine-y shot of the whole house, but it just kept being overcast and rainy. Perhaps to accompany the overlying mood that came with the move?
In spite of this I thought it fit to capture this image from the chair in our sun room, one of the last images I’ll have of this house from the inside. It was pretty spur-of-the-moment, but I think a lot of things about this image came together well. The empty chair, signaling our departure, and end of an era. The view of the yard, that we would spend so much time appreciating the beauty of nature through, now barred off by the white partitions and windows. Yet still, even on such an overcast day with the sun dropping lower, a light still reflects off the window, seemingly hovering above the trees outside, signifying the life that was had there, and that will continue to live with the house even in the absence of it’s former tenants.
Yeah, it’s a pretty boring image. But I can’t pass up an opportunity to yap about tangentially related things, now can I?
