1.) Listen to Scooter's 2002 album "24 Carat Gold" on repeat for a couple weeks.
2.) Stub out song structure and chords.
3.) Start scoring the song in Famitracker; Realize that the chords and meter were Perhaps A Little Too Ambitious and Not Really Working.
4.) Bite the bullet and scale things back a bit to something more achievable (and listenable.)
5.) With 24 hours left on the clock, push through eyestrain and caffeine shakes to finally finish adding All The Notes. Stay up all night Making It Sound Fun.
6.) Wake up the next morning, listen to what you've got so far, feel relief wash over you when it actually sounds Pretty Okay, and spend your last two hours shoring up the weak points before miraculously submitting on time!

Haha thanks 😮💨 in all fairness a lot of work plotting out the elements of the song happened in step 2, so ‘all in one night’ was like 2/3 plain old data entry

The dcpm and overall lead really helped capture a "Lost in Time" type of vibe for me!
