it lacks creativity. techno has no life to it really. i don't mean to bash on your track, its just that techno is a simple build up and release system for a simple taste in music. I'll give you an analogy to explain. if music were alcohol, techno would be a wine cooler (or maybe an o'douls). it lacks in toxicity due to its extremely predictable parameters. we know what's going to happen in the track before we listen. with that element of creativity tossed aside, we are forced to assume that techno is more of a lifestyle "ambiance", than a creative art. people go into it knowing what they're going to get and that is okay because its not listened to for a surprise or to find some element we've never heard before, its listened to by those who want to "drink" their music in a paradigm of social ambiance. a celebration of a lifestyle, the same thing with modern country music. It is designed within very specific guidelines to please those who continually want the same thing. so if a simplistic system of music is wine cooler then the music with complex algorithms would be hard liquor. you see for some, we've built up a "tolerance" to an oversimplified build up and release system, and for "musical alcoholics", we need the complex and unique in order to get a "buzz" anymore. anyway, I'm certainly not trying to offend, I just think honesty is more important than our species realizes.
