Seven Days in Space

Space. It's vast. Infinite even. You get to take a good view of what it is, sent out in a ship on a mission of seven days. Seven days to get accustomed to what space even is, what it means. It is an exciting adventure, travelling from planet to planet, getting a look at its surface. The crew is just as astonished as you are each time there is a new planet to quickly toss a view to. The days go by, but what would a mission be without a change of pace? The alarm sounds, you snap out of your sleep. On the sixth day, the day of this alarm, you just ask yourself...

... Is this the end?

Everyone on the ship is running, grabbing their belongings and gear in order to fend off the unknown lifeforms. You snap out of your moment of melancholy, replacing it with the motivation to last through it and push on.

The fight was shorter than you'd expect, ridding the enemy presence before they can do any major harm to the ship. With a boosted morale the crew sits through the seventh day, ready to share what they saw with everyone on planet earth.

it has good variety with the melody and stuff but it maybe might've been more interesting if you changed the the pulsewidth of the lead a bit

Yeah, the pulse is clashing with the chords and the lead in some instances, I tried to fade it quick enough but it sounded too jank so I had to leave it beeeee~

Thank you!

Pretty cool stuff, sounds like an oldschool metal track in fami-form haha. I think the chords/backing rhythm stuff was a bit quiet in parts, but pretty decent overall. Also I am personally a fan of that 04xx, and would like some more of that in the leads not just on the harmonized part, but also on some of the held notes during the solo section. Not sure this needed to be looped twice for the compo honestly, I don't think it benefits from it really, at least imo. Good stuff yo, keep it up!

@th4 D34D
Thanks for your feedback! I personally can't hear the resemblance of a metal track in it, but that sounds pretty coolie. As in backing rhythm, I am not fully sure if you mean the arp-notes in the sawtooth/Pulse 2, but I felt like those were too intrusive with a higher volume. Them 04xx are fun to tinker with and I just later on added those in. Probably could've experimented further with 'em. The looping was personal preference more than anything else. :p

@FlashingYoshi
As someone usually struggling with melodies, this means a lot to me, thanks!
