Fun fact: if you already know a good instrument combination for doing pitch mod, you can just pull that off in a quick minute or two by setting the appropriate channel to pitch mod and looping one channel into another, muting the first and not muting the second, and set pitch offset between the two channels as necessary to get the right pitch mod effect. Only hard part is knowing what does and doesn't work as a pitch mod instrument, which you learn over time.
Or just copy the pitch mod settings from an old mml song of yours! No different than copying instruments from old .ftm modules for an NSF battle. (assuming you've used pitch mod before, which, I guess isn't a guarantee...)
