Since most people went for a more humorous take, I appreciate that this one plays it pretty straight! Very much a real guide for a real game. Your descriptions are so compelling that by the time I got to the end, I found myself all pumped up wanting to play the game...guess you have to make it now!!

agargara took the words right from me!

was gonna say, you've made this charming title...seems like it's up to you to will it into existence.

agreed, though, that it was a nice change of pace that you went way further on the "imagine every portion of this game" part more than the walkthrough tropes. cool to see a different take!

Thank you both for the comments! Glad that you liked the in-depth take of the walk-through. Perhaps it is time to make it a reality :D

This is really impressively detailed! And it's very evocative of the style of game you have in mind -- I had a clear visual of what this game looks like in my head throughout. At first I was a bit confused by the "Characters" section being before any of the game mechanics, but looking back, it helped set the tone in a way that made everything else easier to imagine, and you kept that tone consistent throughout.

I will say I found this pretty dry to read. I've been grading these entries both on how well they capture the feeling of a walkthrough and on how well it reads as a standalone piece of writing, and while this is really strong in the former category it kind of dragged in the latter, especially with the exhaustively detailed descriptions of stages.

That said, one thing I really liked about the descriptions of stages was the theme of an upper and lower path in each level -- it was nice to have some repeated structure.

Tons of details in this, it felt pretty authentic and well thought out!

"Smog Foundry" is a good level name. I liked the Snoop Dogg-esque self thank at the end :)
