I need to try this! I tried going the MOD2VIC route and couldn't figure it out and so couldn't finish my Summer entry for this format. Maybe I'd have better luck this way, thanks for the notes on your process.

The track's whatever, I just wanted an excuse to test out Fami2Vic ;)
.ftm to .prg ended up being quite the journey: make .ftm (speed 3) -> export to .nsf -> import to .ftm (speed 1) -> clean up and rearrange patterns -> export to .txt -> convert to data via Fami2Vic -> edit .asm to use dasm syntax -> assemble to .prg
Works on either NTSC or PAL with 8K expansion. Render is through VICE 3.6.1 on NTSC.
